We are excited to introduce the first guest post on our blog with Kingston Lafferty Design. Take a look inside interior designer Rosin Lafferty's beautiful home turned inspiring workplace...
Roisin Lafferty is a Designer and Creative Director of Irish Design House Kingston Lafferty Design. Based in Dublin, Kingston Lafferty Design is a team of eight creative women working from the home and office of Roisin Lafferty. This multifunctional space is bright, colourful and full of interesting design details. The team are big fans of bluebellgray and the range features pretty heavily throughout the house.
This house is a Georgian property based in the urban village of Ranelagh just 5 minutes outside of the centre of Dublin. On the first level there is a formal living room and Roisin’s office, which she shares with the Office Manager, Ridhi. Downstairs the main living area consists of a bright kitchen area, a bedroom and a living dining space. One of the key features of this space is a reclaimed iron spiral staircase which was sourced from a nearby salvage yard and powder coated in a beautiful shade of blue.
The garden is another important feature of the space. It’s almost another room in itself with built in bench seating, an abundance of colour and more reclaimed pieces, like two tractor stools and a period fire place.
For Roisin design is about expressing personality and having fun with your interiors. A big fan of colour, Roisin fell in love with the bluebellgray aesthetic - their bright colours and the modern take on floral patterns immediately appealed to her and she has used pieces across lots of projects. ‘there is a nice versatility in the range. You can be as bold as you want and the cumulative effect of the patterns and colours creates for an amazing impact.’
