Frequently Asked Questions

How will my order be packaged?

All our cushions, bedding and accessory orders are generally wrapped in tissue paper. We use a recyclable paper sack or cardboard boxes along with recyclable paper tape, and wherever possible any plastic that is required will be biodegrade-able. All orders are carefully wrapped and packed safely and securely ready for their journey to you. Please note fabric, wallpaper, oil cloth, fabric and wallpaper samples are sent from a separate warehouse, if those items are bought alongside other items they will arrive in separate packages.

Does bluebellgray design for any other brands?

Fi only designs for bluebellgray, we have seen many ‘versions’ of bluebellgray designs over the years, but the real bluebellgray designs will always have our name on them and be sold through our website or our official website. We do collaborate with other lovely brands, but we will always brand the collaborations so you know they are authentic bluebellgray collaborations. We will always show any collaborations on our social media channels too.

I’d love to see the designs in person, can I visit bluebellgray?

Yes, we have a beautiful shop in the West End of glasgow where you can see *almost* everything we sell. If you are travelling far to see a specific design, best to call ahead to make sure we have the item in stock in store.

Where are the products designed and manufactured?

All of our bluebellgray designs are born in Scotland; they start life being painted by Fi by hand in our Glasgow studio on a sheet of paper. We do all the design work in house at bluebellgray and take the design all the way from a blank piece of paper through the development process working with our manufacturers, to it becoming a final product.

Our fabrics are printed in the UK and Europe. Our cushions, mugs, kitchen textiles, lampshades, wallpaper and accessories are made in the UK. Our bedding is made in Turkey and Pakistan. Our rugs and trays are made in Europe. Most, but not all, of our printed bedding pieces are Carbon Neutral, meaning every item has its carbon footprint off-set to counteract the environmental impact of production and shipping. Our rugs are manufactured by Brink & Campman, a Dutch company, who were able to offer us an innovative way to produce a quality wool rug whilst retaining the beautiful watercolour qualities of Fi’s originals.

Where our products are made and the conditions of the people making our products is also of the utmost important to bluebellgray. Overseas production is always in ethically approved factories with BSCI compliance, meaning the workers are treated fairly and ethically and the factory is regularly inspected for safety standards.

When did bluebellgray start?

Bluebellgray started in 2009 on Fi’s kitchen table. The brand has grown and evolved over time and has grown from just 6 cushions to a fully fledged homeware brand selling a full range of products for your home with the signature bluebellgray prints.

Do you offer any help and advice for how to decorate my home with bluebellgray products?

We are working on offering a bluebellgray mood-board service for customers - watch this space for updates! We are always happy to chat on the phone if you want to discuss any of the products and how to use them.

I can’t see a design I loved on your website anymore, will it come back?

Some items within bluebellgray are part of our signature collection and will always be in our collection. Some designs we design seasonally so once they sell out they will not be restocked.
