Printed Sheets

Perfectly nostalgic

Bluebellgray has brought printed sheets back to the UK market.

Comfort & Nostalgia

This summer sees the release of our new, joyful printed sheet and pillowcase and bedding collection. Following Bluebellgray’s S/S 2021 collection, which led the successful return of printed sheets to the UK market, we have continued our collection steeped in nostalgia, reminiscent of happy holidays spent at Granny’s house. Evocative of fond memories yet fashion forward, on-trend with the romantic, nostalgic and sentimental ideals of cottagecore, modern heritage style and country living.

Somewhere over the last few decades, printed sheets have disappeared from the UK - we wanted to bring this joyous, colourful and nostalgic product back into our homes.

We have been designing duvet covers for a long time now, and always felt we were missing beautiful sheets to style with our duvets. We had designed sheeting ranges for our Bluebellgray overseas customers across the Atlantic many times, and have seen how popular printed sheets were in many international stores on our travels, however could never find it here in the UK.

Colour mix & match

With this range we wanted to do two things: provide our pattern loving customers that full mix and match option, while also providing solid white bedding loyalists a softer way to incorporate some print and colour into their rooms. Each sheet & pillowcase has also been carefully designed to perfectly complement our existing range of bedding.

Ten designs

The range consists of ten hand painted designs: fresh garden florals, beautifully simple block print floral style motifs, a new take on the classic stripe and a glorious gingham.

Frilled pillowcases

The softly frilled pillowcases are the stand out pieces within the collection and perfectly hit the current trends for soft floral interiors and cottage core chic.

Memory based

Fi Douglas, founder and Creative Director of Bluebellgray says:

“If you mention printed sheets to anyone they usually always have a story or happy memory of childhood holidays spent at grandparents attached to it, my memories of sleeping in striped printed sheets at my own grandmothers house during summer holidays were the starting point for designing this range”

The names of each design from our S/S 2021 are all taken from affectionate monikers used for Grandma’s around the world: Oma, Teta, Yaya, Gaaee, Nonna, Gigi and Bibi. Gaaee, is a special name as, at time of release, it was the name Fi’s then one year old daughter called her own granny.

The S/S 2022 collection consists of three new memorable and uplifting designs - Bella, Gingham Cornflower and Gaaee Cornflower, all designed with the colours blue and white. This classic colour combination is versatile, has calming properties perfect for a serene bedroom scheme, and is a personal favourite of Fi’s.

Environment - Working to be as environmentally conscious as possible is a big factor in all of our products, from the materials we use to how and where they are made, this includes all our packaging. Every sheet and pillowcase in this collection comes in a reusable drawstring dustbag in the same fabric and print as your chosen design.

This range is digitally printed, made from 200 thread count 100% cotton percale, it has that wonderfully crisp cotton handle while feeling ultra-smooth and soft to sleep on.
